Coming out of a slump...

I finally made something the other day. Feels good to create again. This slump has been dark, unkind, and lingering. I am just trying to take baby steps in getting back in my groove.

This is from our time at Joshua Tree National Park back in winter solstice. Trying some new animation and sound effects in videos.

Music by Tone Ranger with a track named "Flow," used with permission via Jumpsuit Records membership.

Big thanks to my supporters via Patreon (patreon.com/subtledream) in their continued financial support in allowing to create beautiful things like this.

2017 End of Year Time-Lapse Reel

Here's a little treat I have compiled together of time-lapse highlights from 2017. They represent 4 of the countries I've had the lovely opportunity to spend time in and photograph. Everything is going to fly by quickly and there is no fancy editing except for sequence change to a few beats. Don't blink because in this short video your eyes will see tens of thousands of images representing tens of hours compressed into 85 seconds. Happy new year everyone!

Music by the incredible The Polish Ambassador - 'Dark Between Stars'

Snippets of 2017 in time-lapse sped up even further in a 85-second package for your viewing pleasure. Locations (in no particular order): - Ankor Wat, Cambodia - Khumbu/Sagarmatha National Park, Nepal - Malheur National Forest, Oregon - Okhreni Nauling, Nepal - Christchurch, New Zealand - Silver Peak, Washington - Panch Pokhari, Nepal - Lake Coleridge, New Zealand - Lyttleton, New Zealand - Gore Bay, New Zealand - Takure, Nepal - Seattle, Washington - Hakatere Conservation Area, New Zealand - Columbia River Gorge, Oregon - Godley Head, New Zealand

TEDx Christchurch 2017 "Unplug and Reconnect"

Collaboration with artists Kiel Johnson and Nadine Wells from Los Angeles. Such a fun project to witness and help out with. Time-lapses are by yours truly. Stop motion idea and executed by Erica Austin-Knopp. The TEDx Christchurch event itself was absolutely incredible. So happy to have been a part of it.

Here's the intro video filmed and cut together by Nadine.
